{Time to Explore}

The other day, sweet hubby asked, "Are we ever going to go camping?" I replied with, "The idea is growing on me." I didn't grow up camping and will admit that I'm not the outdoorsy type. This doesn't mean I don't like to be outside...I love the outdoors! I just associate camping with a strong lack of comfort. No bueno.

When we were in Kauai, I loved spending our days out and about, exploring the island. At one point, I even said, "We should come back, rent kayaks and CAMP our way around the island." What? Who am I? I guess Kauai will turn any city girl into a potential camper. Maybe you'll find me in a tent, one of these days. Until then, I'll stick to my comfortable day trips and hikes.

Aside from hubby's love of camping, he secretly hopes to live on a farm one day and found his dream farm, at the bottom of the Kauai Grand Canyon. He just stared and kept saying, "How cool would it be to live there!" It was also the first time he requested the camera to take a picture. Mind you, at this point in the trip, we had seen beautiful beaches, mountains and waterfalls. What does he want a picture of? A random farm at the bottom of a canyon. Too funny. It really was a neat little spot.

The obligatory, "Honeymooner Sunset Kissing Picture." You're welcome.

When we weren't out exploring we were relaxing here - where some of us tan more than others.

  2. We love Kauai! Andy and I went there on our honeymoon too, but for some reason I never had the thought that I wanted to camp there! Sit by the beach and read, yes...camp, no! And yes, the pic of your legs is hilarious!

  3. It must be a Bahr thing to want to live on a farm. Cameron is convinced that we will some day. To that I smile and say we'll see... :)

    Love you, Miss you!
