{My New Job}

I get to help people do this. Love it.

{Time to Explore}

The other day, sweet hubby asked, "Are we ever going to go camping?" I replied with, "The idea is growing on me." I didn't grow up camping and will admit that I'm not the outdoorsy type. This doesn't mean I don't like to be outside...I love the outdoors! I just associate camping with a strong lack of comfort. No bueno.

When we were in Kauai, I loved spending our days out and about, exploring the island. At one point, I even said, "We should come back, rent kayaks and CAMP our way around the island." What? Who am I? I guess Kauai will turn any city girl into a potential camper. Maybe you'll find me in a tent, one of these days. Until then, I'll stick to my comfortable day trips and hikes.

Aside from hubby's love of camping, he secretly hopes to live on a farm one day and found his dream farm, at the bottom of the Kauai Grand Canyon. He just stared and kept saying, "How cool would it be to live there!" It was also the first time he requested the camera to take a picture. Mind you, at this point in the trip, we had seen beautiful beaches, mountains and waterfalls. What does he want a picture of? A random farm at the bottom of a canyon. Too funny. It really was a neat little spot.

The obligatory, "Honeymooner Sunset Kissing Picture." You're welcome.

When we weren't out exploring we were relaxing here - where some of us tan more than others.

{Helicopter}

We were able to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon and had a blast. We did a lot of fun things, but my favorite experience from the trip was our helicopter ride around the island of Kauai.
On our way to cheat death.

Our helicopter...sans doors.

Doing my best to be brave. Christian was a bit more excited than the usual passenger. Can you tell?

Back on solid ground. Hands down, one of the coolest things I've ever done.

{July 4th}

We spent July 5th, down south, in good old Provo. Christian's extended family goes to the Provo 4th of July parade every year - so we tagged along. My cousin, Anna, was in the parade and it was fun to watch her march with Timpview High.

Ms. Anna Victoria twirling away.

Love the Hogge kids!

Hope you had a fun July 4th!

{Stadium of Fire...with Carrie}

Carrie Underwood is one of my all time favorite singers. When I heard she would be performing at this year's Stadium of Fire, we promptly bought tickets. Stadium of Fire is such a great event. I had only been once, seven years ago, and forgot what fun it is.

Ms. Underwood. She is a fantastic performer. (Yes. I sang along.) I can't wait to go to one of her "real" concerts.

Enjoyed a be-a-u-tiful sunset.

And finally. The fireworks.

{Utah Arts Festival}

We went to the Utah Arts Festival, toward the end of June, with these two yahoos. (Kidding. Love my big brother and sister-in-law.) We saw lots of incredible art, ran into a few friends and chowed down on yummy (i.e. fattening) food. We had a great time.

We decided to be uuuuuuber cheesy and have our caricature drawn. Don't really think it looks like me. The artist did, however, get the correct color of my eyes; green. (Most people think they're blue.) She did a great job recreating husband.

Posing with the final product.

My cousin, John, is in a band and performed at the festival. We found a spot on the grass and listened to a few songs. Didn't get a picture with him, though. Maybe next time.
What a perfect summer night.
