We were able to go to Dallas, in October, for the groundbreaking of the
George W. Bush Presidential Library. I was excited to see my former WH colleagues. I worked with most of these people for about three years, and it was wonderful to see everyone again. I was especially anxious for everyone to meet Christian and vice versa.
We were also able to spend some time with Christian's oldest brother Erick and his family. We had such a fun time with Erick, Sarah and their kids. So sad I didn't get one picture!
On the bus headin' to the party the night before the groundbreaking. It was a blast! There was a live band, BBQ and lots of old friends. Wish I would have taken more pictures! Some of the first people we saw were Kevin and Taylor. Kevin and I were some of the only Californians at the WH. (We were usually found daydreaming about In N' Out.) Taylor and I worked together in the FL's Office.

Sarah Penny and Mike McCarlie. Two of my favorite people. Sarah and I worked in the WW, together. I met McCarlie when I worked on the BC'04 Campaign in Nevada. We were only missing Brittany. Wish you would've been there Mrs. Richman!

Inside the tent for the groundbreaking ceremony at Southern Methodist University. We sat smack-dab in the middle of the audience. The crowd behind....the crowd in front.
With Hubby, waiting for the ceremony to start. We ran into Pete Seat on our way back to the hotel. He's a buddy from the Press Office. I had a lot of fun with Pete, in DC, and am so happy we saw him.

After the groundbreaking at SMU, we were invited to a special luncheon with some colleagues. (Call me if you want more details. Wonderful experience!) On our way to lunch, we drove through this intersection. If there is a Glendora Avenue in Dallas, it must be a great city. Texas is calling my name!

Final picture from our whirlwind weekend is of this guy. What a heartbreaker!
